Ocean Heal Me

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Ocean Heal Me
Ocean heal my wounds
Let your waves curl and foam on my body
Wash away blood, heal scars
Ocean renew me with your power
As unceasingly you roll
Giving strength that’s been drained
Ocean keep me warm
Wrap me in your brine
Caress me with your tides
Ocean disperse my tears
As they flow in you
I cleanse my soul
Ocean let me grow in [...]

Find the Magic

FIND the MAGIC
Find the MagicAs you release old bondage Come out of hidingAnd see the stars
Find the MagicAs you expose the painLet the tears flowAnd find beauty in your body
Find the MagicAs you scream from the beatingRun from the threatsAnd feel the warmth of a hug
Find the MagicAs the little girl is silencedTold she is [...]

Kens Poem

Monday, April 20th, 2009

How wonderfully sweet to be a dweller
dwelling on the road of goodbye.
Bittersweet tears fall as I think
of all the places I’ll never see,
all the faces I’ll never know,
all the joys I’ll never share,
as I head for the unknown.
I have lived life as best I could,
met challenges head on,
drawing strength from an unseen source.
You cannot come [...]

Growing

Monday, April 20th, 2009

Growing hurts sometimes;
saying goodbye to friends,
to things you’ve known and done
to things you wanted to do.
Growing heals sometimes
the shattered dreams and hopes
of a life you once knew
leading you to a new knowledge of yourself.
Growing is fun sometimes
meeting new friends
learning new things
making changes that feel good and moving on.
Growing is necessary always.
Without change there is stagnation
death [...]

Why I enjoy Writing?

Monday, April 20th, 2009

During interviews and general conversations with the public, one of the most difficult questions for me to answer(timely and thoroughly) is,”Why do you enjoy writing”?
So due to the challenge manifested in such a question,I pondered on creating an answer. Many reasons came to mind, but after digesting much”time for thought”,I managed to condense my response to three [...]

I Hate The Wait (Weight)

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

I get up in the morning
And want to stay in bed
Oh, so nice and warm
Like fresh from the oven bread.
My day is oh so busy
I wish that I could stay
In the quiet of my house
If only I could play.
Relax and play like Children do
No matter where they are
Never worried about being late
Or looking ahead too [...]

A Case of The Fears

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

Chicken Soup is good for a cold
Sleep is good for the Flu
When I get a case of the Fears
What is a person to do?
It is not bacteria
Although it can eat away my soul
It is not a virus
Yet, it can keep me from feeling whole
I know what will do the trick,
What will put me back on [...]

Welcome to the Town of Feeling

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

Happy, Sad, Mad and Glad,
Moved in down the street
Cautious watched them, from her window,
Wondering, which one should I meet?
Confused came in with overwhelmed and said,
“The Panics have come to town”
Then Hopeful called the carefulls,
And said that Happy was a clown.
Anxious came in with the news,
Confident had called a town meeting
To take a vote for Mayor,
And [...]
